Waterproofing or thermal insulation? Define what your quotation needs to cover
Identify the problem to address and compare systems with multiple functions without assuming that every material performs in the same way.

An enquiry may start with 'I want complete insulation', but that does not describe the problem. Waterproofing addresses water passage through a designed system; thermal insulation limits heat transfer. Define the required function before comparing product names or installation costs in Riyadh.
Describe the problem and location
Are there rain-related water marks, top-floor comfort concerns or a new roof being prepared for use? Gather observations without assuming one cause. State the roof type, use, existing layers and planned additions, and share overview photos before assessment.
Ask about the integrated system
A proposed solution may have layers serving different functions. Ask for each layer's role, sequence, preparation and protection. A thermal layer does not eliminate waterproofing details, and a waterproofing material does not automatically achieve the required thermal performance. Refer to the proposed system's data and design for the existing situation.
Compare equivalent options
For foam and board quotations, understand each included scope before comparing final figures. Request coverage, detailing, protection and treatment of equipment and drains. Electricity-saving claims need a clear basis and measurement limits; naming a material does not establish a guaranteed percentage.
Separate requirements from promises
You can request product sheets, application requirements and a handover plan. The assessor should explain suitability for the building. Include any project design or specifications with the enquiry; a general article is not a substitute for reviewing them.
Keep a scope you can review
Before agreement, record required functions, areas, exclusions, preparation, cost, protection and maintenance. Ask who coordinates later rooftop work, as additions must account for the installed system. This makes execution and follow-up easier to review.
Share your insulation objective, district, photos and approximate area with ARKAN Development. Available options and scope are assessed for the actual condition, not chosen by material name alone.
